Biography
Enamul Hoq is an Assistant Professor and Course Coordinator in the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at the World University of Bangladesh (WUB). He earned his B.Sc. in Mechatronics Engineering from WUB and completed his Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Telecommunication Engineering from the World University of Bangladesh.
Since joining WUB in 2013, he has established himself as a dedicated educator, researcher, and academic leader. His academic contributions include co-authoring several book chapters published by Springer on specialized topics such as sensors, actuators, control systems, and mechatronics applications. His primary research interests include robotics, automation, renewable energy systems, the Internet of Things (IoT), embedded systems, artificial intelligence, and intelligent engineering applications.
Mr. Hoq has successfully led and supervised numerous innovative engineering projects, including the development of automatic wind turbine systems, QR-code-based smart car parking systems, and specialized robotic platforms such as autonomous robots and surveillance rovers. His research has been presented at international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals, contributing to the advancement of mechatronics and intelligent systems.
Beyond his teaching and research responsibilities, Mr. Hoq is actively involved in student development and co-curricular activities. He serves as the Faculty Advisor of the Mechatronics Club, where he mentors students in organizing technical workshops, robotics competitions, engineering exhibitions, innovation challenges, industrial visits, and community outreach programs. He has played a significant role in coordinating departmental technical festivals, project showcasing events, and student innovation initiatives, fostering a culture of creativity, leadership, teamwork, and practical engineering skills among future engineers.
In addition, he actively mentors undergraduate students by supervising capstone design projects and research theses in the areas of mechatronics, robotics, automation, IoT integration, and smart systems. He is committed to promoting innovation, hands-on learning, and interdisciplinary research while preparing future engineers to address emerging technological challenges and contribute meaningfully to society.
